Lookin for Game Suggestions For My Father
Please help me out. Looking for suggestions of what to get my father.

My dad's getting up there in age (70s) and his reaction time with certain games has slowed down, so games like Assassin's Creed, games with QTE's, and even Lemmings ripoffs are out. He did okay with Thomas was Alone, other puzzle games, and I know he likes card games like Magic and Sanctum.

He also recently dove through the whole Deponia series and loved the absolute crap out of it. So any Point&Click games that are on the comedic side would be awesome suggestions.

I already looked through google/steam at similar threads and suggestions like AC, Fallout, and super simple games like Bejeweled weren't cutting it. He likes to think, he just can't react quickly anymore.

Huge thanks for any help! :D :lunchtime::LeShopkeeper::cleanfloppy:

Thanks for the suggestions so quickly! His eyesight's alright, though he has to avoid strobeing lights due to very light epilepsy (I play all games I get him ahead of time to make sure it's okay). He played The Whispered World and loved it. He also played Kelvin and the Infamous Machine and LOVED it. I'll check out these other games, and on the side I just had him DL the 2015 remake of KingsQuest.

This is great. It's good to keep him busy, since he's been so stressed out with the world lately. :epiparty:
Double update, got him The Night of the Rabbit and he's already playing. Going to make a list of the others to eek out to him over time.
Risk is a pretty fun game to play. Your dad probably won't be able to play online multiplayer because of his reaction time, but he can play with A.I since there's no time limit on single player. Also this game requires a good amount of thinking so maybe he'll like that. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1128810/RISK_Global_Domination/

The first black mirror point and click was good.
They go on sale for 2,50 often.
Wadjet Eye Games has a fantastic range of story-driven point and click titles which can be played and their own pace and also are a nice challenge.

There's also the hilarious Monkey Island games

Niiice :D Thanks so far everyone! Listed the lot til l check into everything.

He weirdly enough took offence at e-versions of old board games that he already owns. So, um, that happened. He also doesn't want games that imitate Irl chores (probably because he hates IRL chores).

Edit - most of these suggestions are freaking brilliant.

3. Passpartout: The Starving Artist - painting and managaing game.

i bought my friend this game and we enjoyed the idea very much. not for many hours but the time spend was a joy. you paint with your mouse (or pen and table) little pictures and sell them in the game to npc characters to make money. you have to check this out at least, i cant describe why its a fun little experience.

Just a FYI Stories Untold has a orb that strobes a bright light at least 4-5 times during the game. I suggest watching a video of it to see what it is.
