DirectX Problems for Dead By Daylight
Has anyone updated their DX Version to DX12 through the End-User Runtime Web Installer and found that despite that you still don't have the feature level of DX11? Because that's happened to me whenever I try to play DBD sos if you have any solution to this I'm willing to hear it.

1. DX12 is backwards compatible to DX11&10.
2. The hardware must support it as well.

It doesn't appear so I'm afraid. Every time I try and open the game it still gives the message "DX feature level 11.0 is needed to run this game". As I mentioned before the feature levels I have don't have 11 among them. Only: 10_1, 10_0, 9_3, 9_2 and 9_1.

DirectX 12 is built into Windows 10. The End-User runtime is for various "legacy" runtimes that many games use.

The Feature Level you have is dependent on your graphics card and drivers.

According to the Store page the game requires a DirectX11 compatible video card. If you have a lesser card, the game won't work even if you have the necessary runtimes installed.

That indicates that your videocard does in fact not support it. What are your system specs? Especially the videocard.

If I'm not wrong the specs on my Acer Aspire V5-571 should be: Intel Core i5 processor, 6GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. The graphics card is an Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU, which from what I've read should be compatible with DX11.

Depends on the actual model of the laptop and its configuration as there are several variants of it out there.

In the Steam client, click on Help, then System Information. Let Steam collect some basic information and post it here.

Seeing as it says OpenGL 1.1 in the specs, it appears you might not have a proper graphics driver installed.

Amazing specs

Intel HD 4k 3k series only supports DX 10.1.

Since 10.1 is less than 11, you can not run it.

Are you sure? The table on the wikipedia page lists the Direct3D 11.0 next to the HD 4000. And on several other sites they mention DirectX 11 being compatible with HD 4K.

Sorry my bad. The 4000 does, but your Pentium 987 is a Sandy Bridge (2/3000) cpu and is 10.1. That's where I was looking.

Soooooooo I can't run it?

Not with that videochip, no. Sadly, notebooks can not be upgraded in that regard, so you'd need a new computer for the game.
See if you can still refund it (purchased less than 14 days ago and has less than 2 hours of runtime).
