I was gonna make this same suggestion ... I really enjoyed playing this game!

The music alone makes my skin crawl!

That game has some lovely real motion characters! :D
EDIT: Ohh I just checked when the post was made, made a fool of myself! ;P
Don't feel foolish about that haha, I'm still subscribed to this thread, as I'm sure others are. I'm glad people like you are still posting new games for us to check out. :)
There's been a lot of great mentions in this thread. Good puzzle games are hard to find, and few and far between. I'll add a few that may not be strictly puzzle but were enjoyable for me the same way Myst/Riven and Quern were:
King's Quest V
Penumbra
Amnesia
Limbo
Antichamber
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis

I know a rare one. It's super simple graphics but super fun once you get it.
Antichamber:

It seems that we have similar taste. i just bought "the Witness" due to great reviews but got the same feeling as you. similar kind of puzzles that doesnt seem to organically interact with the surroundings. I guess this post got a lot of sugestions but im afraid not all are trully Myst like (or Obduction, quern, etc). it would be great to have a list of the trully myst like games.
cheers
Thanks but that's literally one of the first games I mentioned in my original post
No worries though, haha
The House of Da Vinci is now on their third in the series:

Scratches Director's Cut is presented as more of a horror game than a puzzle adventure (think Dark Fall), but it does have some interesting puzzles that can definitely "scratch" that Myst-y itch, so it's worth mentioning. I do have to warn that it can be a bit janky, and some elements are a bit nonsensical, but I don't regret playing it.

Gordian Rooms is worth mentioning. I haven't played the full game yet (it's stacked on my backlog mountain), but I played the prologue and it was quite promising. At time of writing it looks like there's also a sequel scheduled for Q1 2023.

The Five Cores Remastered is a very wonky puzzle adventure game. The controls are awkward and the graphics are dated. However, at its "core" it absolutely is a Myst-like and probably shouldn't be overlooked.

Zof is an interesting beast. Unlike games like Myst and Quern, Zof doesn't really have any story or plot to follow. However, like Myst and Quern, it does have a vast array of varying puzzles, and even different "worlds" that you travel to (similar to Ages in Myst) from a central hub island, and each new challenge is unique so it isn't like you're doing the same kind of thing over and over (a la The Witness).

There have also been a multitude of "Escape Room" games that have been popping up over the last couple of years. Many of them are quite good, but they tend to be shorter, more contained experiences and also I'm a bit lazy and don't want to attempt listing them all here. I may come back with suggestions on a few that I've actually played, but we'll see.
