Here are all first person puzzle adventure games based on tags: http://store.steampowered.com/search/?tags=3839%2C1664%2C21&category1=998
you can add tags or filter out the ones you own and all that stuff. Maybe add the tag exploration.
The Room 3 has more exploration than Room Two if/when it gets a PC release. The first The Room has less exploration but the puzzles are still decent. It's a rather story light series and you should be able to get through it if you choose to skip the first one. They are mobile ports so some of the puzzles are not as tight as PC developed puzzle games.

I've got a soft spot for the game, but my play throughs keep getting interrupted
I have Syberia, and I think I tried it a long time ago, but didn't really get into it. I think I prefer the first person perspective. Maybe I'll give it another try though.
As for The Talos Principle and The Witness, let me explain a little bit more. I was in a bit of a rush with my previous reply. One of the things I love about games like Myst, Quern, Obduction, etc... is how they have a variety of puzzle elements that blend so organically into the world and the environment. The Witness ended up boring me very quickly because it lacked that variety and simply felt like the same puzzles over and over with slightly new mechanics added as you progressed. The environment was beautiful but the puzzles felt very detached, like doing sudoku on a beautiful island.... and just didn't do it for me at all. The Talos Principle is great but I wouldn't put it anywhere near the same category as Myst. It's much more like Portal. You generally get the same set of puzzle elements and tools are solve individual puzzles one by one, each with its own arrangement of those same elements.
I hope my feedback doesn't give the impression I don't appreciate the suggestions. I certainly do! ...and keep them coming, please.
I posted this because I was wondering if perhaps there's some hidden gem out there that's a bit more obscure than these more popular titles we've covered so far.
The Temporal Invasion
Candle
Riven
Haven Moon
Thanks for the suggestions!
The Black Mirror games look like they might be good. The first one is obviously quite dated. I couldn't quite tell what gameplay was like based on the steam page so I'll look up some on YouTube. I added them to my wishlist anyway.
The Temporal Invasion looks very interesting. Having to do real internet research has always been an interesting mechanic, but I hope it still works well without ruining the experience. Another game that uses internet research is EVIDENCE: THE LAST RITUAL, and it's basically unplayable now because any searches just bring up walkthroughs and spoiling puzzle solutions.
Candle looks neat but it's not the kind of game type I'm looking for.
Riven, of course, I've already played... waaaay back in the day. Still have the physical discs. For future reference, I've already played Myst 1-5 and realMyst.
Haven Moon... now this one looks like my cup of tea. I'm putting this near the top of my wish list. Based on what little I've seen so far, it looks like exactly the kind of experience I'm looking for.
Thanks again!

Here are some that I've played:
-Zork: Grand Inquisitor (BUY THIS NOW! It's like my favorite game ever. I bought it from GOG, so my Steam account doesn't show any progress.)
-Voyage: Journey to the Moon (One of my favorite games of all time too. I don't know where I bought this, but apparently it's not in my Steam library.)
-Return to Mysterious Island (I really liked this. I don't know where I bought this, but apparently it's not in my Steam library.)
-Return to Mysterious Island 2 (I really liked this 2. I don't know where I bought this, but apparently it's not in my Steam library.)
-FRACT OSC (this game is pretty good, especially considering that it is very unique compared to the others)
-The Secrets of Da Vinci (bought from Amazon, I liked this game)
-Aura: Fate of the Ages (this game is not bad, but definitely not on par with Myst)
-Timelapse (this game is pretty good, but the subject matter was not "mystical" enough for my tastes)
-Return to Zork (I didn't finish this because I got frustrated. It's not a very forgiving game. Be sure to research about the dead-ends if you play this.)
Here are some I've bought but haven't played yet:
-LEAVES - The Journey
-LEAVES - The Return
-Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy
-Shadowgate
Here are some that I've on my Wishlist:
-AURA 2: The Sacred Rings (gamersgate.com and greenmangaming.com)
-Blackwood Crossing
-Starship Titanic
-XING: The Land Beyond
Here are some that I know of but won't play:
-Amerzone: The Explorer’s Legacy (I think it's a shorter game, but I prefer longer ones)
-Dracula 1-5 (I'm not into darker themes)
-The Egyptian Prophecy: The Fate of Ramses (I think it's a shorter game too)
-The Journeyman Project 1-3 (I'm not really into sci-fi)
-Quantum Conundrum (I think it's a shorter game too)
-Zork Nemesis: The Forbidden Lands (I'm not into darker themes, but I heard this game is really good)
Happy gaming you all, fellow Myst fans.
Great post! Thank you for all of those suggestions. Some were already on my wishlist. Some were already in my library. I added several others to my wishlist.
As for "The Secrets of Da Vinci", I couldn't find that one on Steam, but I do already have "The House of Da Vinci" on my wishlist. Is that what you meant, or were you talking about a different game altogether?
Thanks again for the great suggestions.
Thanks.
It's not the same game you mentioned. I don't think Steam has it. Here's the Amazon link: https://smile.amazon.com/Anuman-Interactive-Secrets-Vinci-Download/dp/B008F9TD1U/ref=dsvrt_myd_asin_block. Anuman Interactive published it - they have published other titles like Still Life 1/2, Return to Mysterious Island 1/2, Atlantis 1-3, Post Mortem, Dracula 1-5, Amerzone, Syberia 1/2, Nostradamus, Voyage: Journey to the Moon. I suggest you keep a watch for it to be on sale on Amazon or eBay if you're interested. I think there are bigger/better games for $10, but it is definitely a game I enjoyed playing.
No prob! Enjoy!
