what the hell are stickers?????

so today im told i got sticker packs....wtf is a sticker pack?? are you going to mail it to me?? why the hell would i want steam stickers??? what are they??? i clicked on a thing that took me to some page where i could click these things and it kept showing me little icons saying i got stickers,but what are they for??? am i going to get a pack of dumb rabbit stickers in the mail?(i got like 20 rabbit icons,whatever that means)

why do you put confusing stuff without explaining it??? do they give discounts??? bonuses in games you own?? what is the point??? WHAT ARE THEY FOR AND WHY ARE THEY HERE!!!

this is really bothering me,it already took half an hour to even find how to get to the page(seems everyone talks about how awesome they are but nobody talks about wtf they are or wtf they are for)

i finally found a faq....and it still doesnt tell me what use they are,what they do for me,and why steam paid someone money to program something that does nothing...apparently you can put stickers in a book...are we 4??? is this fun to someone??? do you think we are all retarded?? please,steam,if you are going to pay people to do stuff,dont make it useless dumb stuff....this is even worse that the stupid trading card stuff...please,stick to providing games,stop trying to make your platform a game in itself....cuz thats just lame

After you complete a page you can put it on your profile and customize it with any of your stickers.

There is no "point", it's just for fun.

In theory they are suppose to be fun. Stickers books were great fun as a child, of course that was back in the 70's.

The various tasks you can do to earn stickers are a variety of ways to push games and tie you closer to the Steam service. The point, as usual, is making the company more money both short and long term.

it's nice flavor for promoting summer sale. a fun way to encourage more sales. some people can't be bothered to buy games if they are on sale, but might be attracted to collect the badges and such so they will be more active during the sale season.

You really need to chill. It's just a small summer event for those who want to do it. They made sure it wouldn't affect sales in any way because a lot of people are away during summer.

This little sticker book will be gone once the summer sale is gone. Those who have collected all the stickers might still be able to use it though.
