Local multiplayer games I could play with my girlfriend?

I feel as if she wouldn't be too interested in playing what I have in my library (of coruse I don't have many multiplayer games to begin with) but I'd like to get something we'd both enjoy when she comes over (so we aren't stuck playing the same few games we've been playing). She's a classic girl, she loves Nintendo games (especially Mario and Zelda) so I believe the very first thing I should look for is something "cartoony," I suppose. Maybe a platformer or an action game, anything two people could enjoy while sitting on a couch. Difficulty doesn't matter, but looking for games that are local. It can include online but we won't be playing on two different computers.

I don't know much about multiplayer games, but the Trine series has local multiplayer. It's a bit of a "get through the level" with light physics puzzling elements.

"Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed" would be an entirely different game, of course -- a cart racer with splitscreen.

The Worms series probably has local multiplayer too, but I can't tell for sure. It's basically teams of worms trying to obliterate each other in a turn-based combat.

Last but not least, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light is a dungeon crawler spinoff of some other series. It can be played with two players.

I think she might like Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, I'm not too sure about Screencheat though. I put the first one in my wishlist for now, thank you.

This is one I've been eyeballing for some time, but I haven't been too sure about getting it, but thank you.
