Fix problem with epic games launcher when you can get free game and want to add to steam library

Hello, i want to say i got Ark survival evolved on epic games and there is on steam but when i want to add that game to library its says error and cant put so maybe you can fix that

What does steam have to do with your free game on the epic game launcher?

In most cases you need to add the Epic Game Launcher as non-Steam game, not the game itself.

Epic wants you to play the game via their launcher.

This is not a issue for Valve to fix.

Do as Crazy Tiger suggested as that is the only known workaround.

You got it on epic. That doesn't magically mean you get the steam version. You can work around to add it as a non-steam game but you won't get any of the steam support that comes with the steam version.
