Automobilista 2 or Assetto Corsa

Hi I’m kind of new to the sim world and have only played rave room for about 94 hours. I really enjoy open wheel racing (Formula 1) and GT3. Which would be a better purchase? The reason I don’t know which to buy is because Automobilista 2 has better graphics but less content whereas Assetto Corsa has more content but not the best graphics. Also Automobilista 2 is still in EA so I want to know if they will add more cars and tracks (like GT3 and Spa). I would rather not have mods but don’t mind it really. Automobilista 2 is also newer so it still has support for the future.

Automobilista 2 uses the same engine Project Cars 2 uses, Project Cars 2 currently has more content, but is EOL for content as far as i know. While Automobilista 2 is early access, and hopefully will gain a lot more content.

I own both, I'd recommend Project Cars 2 out of the two, currently.

is there anything cheaper than project cars 2? like would project cars 1 work just as well

I don't really want to spend more than $50 Australian and everything is like twice as or almost twice as expensive in aus

If you're not worried about graphics but still want a decent sim racer and not to worried about playing multiplayer you could check out Race 07. Its about 4USD last I looked for the base game. Multiplayer lobby likes to crash a lot and when its down you can't play anything other than LAN. The online stats and league system are long gone. Still a good sim for singleplayer though.

*Edit: I'd recommend the Race Injection bundle, versus the base game, mainly because it offers a free DLC that can no longer be obtained without it. and I'm not quiet sure if its buyable with having already purchased the base game.
