My brother is trying to create a steam account, we verified email but there was an error signing up, now he is stuck in loop of verifying email.
My brother just tried to sign up for Steam. We put in his email address and signed up through 'create an account' in the steam client.

We verified his email address to carry on, whilst picking a username and password, the client bugged and we had to exit. Now we can't sign up as his email is already verified but we have no password to log in. so we can't continue and are being sent round in a loop.

Every time we try to sign up with his email it says already verified but we can't progress.

Very frustrating.

Mabye that helps someone who runs into the same issue.

(just opening the URL without the parameters after the "?" in the URL wont do it. it will show the correct site but you wont be able to create the account)

I ended up creating a new email address for it. Signed up and verified and once we were in, we changed the email address and deleted the email account we used to sign up.

You'll need to remember the old email address you used when you created the account in case you need to provide proof of ownership to the account in the future.

Incredible how alle the answers are so wrong. They clearly didnt understand the problem and just wrote unhelpful information:

https://help.steampowered.com/en/wizard/HelpWithLogin cant help because you dont have an account yet just a verified email.

Reinstall cant help because it has nothing to do with creating an account

The second mail trick seems like a good idea
And the hint from Hotsauce that you need to know the first mail is also very good.

Yea because i just had the same issue with another account and this was so unbelievable unhelpful that i got angry. (but same goes to you i guess with a lot of time)
