other guy already answered what you need to do so I'll just add this

your account was not hacked, you willingly but unknowingly gave your login details to a scam site. If steam had a security breach that let account just get hijacked it would be massive tech news and all over the place. You need to be more careful where you log in and be sure to never log in from links sent to you no matter how legit the site looks

This happened to me two days ago. They used up all my Steam Balance through market transactions for Dota 2 items worth 0.07. Steam support just told me no market purchases are refundable and didn't really seem to care like usual.

They do care: but the reality is your items are long, long gone, and you CANNOT get them back. This is a known thing for YEARS.

Stop using off-steam sites, and stop putting your steam creds into places they don't belong.

It's still worth reporting. Even though Valve can't refund your money, they can keep track of who accessed your account and track their main accounts / accounts they use to sell the skins they earn down. By reporting it, you make it harder for scammers to get away with things like this.

this is entirely your fault. You caused this. 100% of the blame is on you and nobody else including valve. Grow up

Quite, quite incorrect. Please don’t spread misinformation.

MuMu did you ever hear back from Steam? I just had this happen to me where $65 was taken from my steam wallet after falling for a phishing link and it was used to buy counterstrike guns.

Bought from the market? All market transactions are final.

I was asking MuMu. And I have seen someone get refunded $400 to their steam wallet when they fell for the same phishing link that I did.

I believe Steam used to do that sort of thing way back when, before they decided enough is enough and stopped returning stolen items.

If your money was spent on games, then you could refund them, otherwise there's no way.

You could always ask Support themselves if you're unsatisfied with our answers. They're the ones that deal with billing issues and such.

They don't do this. Only for external payment methods.

The person who was refunded $400 was 2 days ago.

I have filed a support ticket already, I was just hoping to hear about the outcome of other people's attempts at getting fraudulent charges refunded.
