Top Turn Based RPGs on steam?
Hey guys,

I really love turn based games where you get alot of strategy choices for your characters.

If anyone could suggest some great turn based rpg games (like fallout 2). Thx.

Oh its turn based? I though it was something like pillars of eternity (real time combat with pause). If its turn based going to get it ASAP :)

Avernum 4, 5 and 6 are turnbased...very good ones imo.

Shadowrun Returns / Dragonfall / Hongkong
Divinity Original Sin
Wasteland 2
Avernum and all other Spiderweb Software games
Lords of Xulima
Blackguards 1+2 (more tactic, less rpg, very hard)

Tyranny is indeed like pillars of eternity (real time with pause)

+Excellent combat mechanics that puts higher budget games to shame.
+Diverse selection of races & classes.
+Very replayable.
+Steam Workshop integration.
+Free to download from the official website. The steam version just gives you donator's benefits.
+Walls of text if you're the kind of person who likes to read in-game lore.

-Antiquated graphics.
-If you're starting out, you're going to be frustrated by frequent deaths & restarts as you learn.
-You'll probably spend dozens(if not hundreds) of hours before your first win.
-No, seriously. This game will kick your ass. Half the game is knowing what will & what won't kill you.

+/-? 1629 Steam Achievements. This game probably has the most achievements here on Steam.

Tyranny is real time with pause, same as Pillars of Eternity.

Trails in the Sky FC and SC are both turn based and terrific RPG's.

Underrail is heavily inspired by the classic Fallout games. It adds alot of new features, and at the same time keeps that classic Fallout feel.

Atlas Reactor if you want a really fun multiplayer experience, xcom for single player.
