I have said that for years but apparently Steam fears that all the CSGO/DOTA2 and so on players will leave the platform if they do that.
I don't believe it's the games that keep the player pop, it's the fact that they're addicted to the systems these games companies are designing.
The fact that there ARE so many scammers is proof of it. Is no different than gambling and organized crime. When people create systems to bilk the suckers the criminals show up for their cut.
The developers disabled trading for all their items and are only usable on the market.
There are upwards of millions of daily transactions on the Steam Market. Valve does not have jurisdiction over the entire internet.
It's almost like criminals don't follow the law or something.
