how do we make a formal complaint about 'support'
The title seems to cover the query. I want to know how to make a formal complaint about the conduct and behaviour of the support staff.
I will not detail the specifics of the complaint here and do not think it is possible to discuss this with the staff I wish to make the complaint against.

[edit]
Seems that there's no official way to complain, so I'll be getting in touch with my legal reps to see if they can get a better answer from Valve. Their T's and C's may say 'we take no responsibility' but that doesn't make them above the law.
I wish there was a simpler answer to this.

Is this about the UI threads?

no, this is about making a formal complaint about support.
I'm not even going to bother asking why you came to that conclusion.

You do realize we can see your post history right?

“Formal?” Probably gotta contact your government, for that.

That is relevant to this thread... how?
Let's pretend for the sake of argument that I want to know the answer to what I have asked here and not whatever you two are assuming.
the only way to contact Steam Support is thru the ticket system. are you complaining about a member of Steam Support or a forum moderator? there is a difference
I want to make a complaint about Steam support. the people who are supposed to answer the tickets.
I am pretty sure I know how to complain about the forum moderators.

How about you actually talk about your “complaint” first
we can go thru the pulling teeth method just to get some basic information and spending hours doing it. or you can provide a little background information, that will most likely help speed up the process and then someone will be able to provide you with the exact answer you want.

currently, the short answer with no information about the issue is - there is no way to complain, move on.

if you want a better answer, we are going to need some information about what the issue is. either you misunderstood a response you got, you didnt like the answer you got, or someone hit the wrong key and sent the wrong response to your ticket, or your complaining about how long it takes to get in touch with support, etc.

a little info about the issue does help.

Satoru, you need to work on how you talk to people.
Thank you Wolf Knight, that makes sense. I'll provide a little more information.

Frankly, I have had a very unsatisfactory response from multiple members (at least, different names on the tickets) regarding different problems and what I would assume correspond as different areas of the support team. I have raised several tickets and following the conduct of the support staff in them, wish to complain about how they have handled the matter, how they responded to the request and how the ticket was closed without resolution in multiple cases.
I don't want to detail each one and don't feel it fair that I should here since this is not apparently where any kind of resolution can be found.

if there is no way to complain about it specifically, I feel I will need to get in touch with legal services regarding the Consumer Rights Act 2015 as Alternative Dispute Resolution does not seem to be an option in this case.

It seems that might not cover much more information, so I'll try to offer a little more:
The response time has been... acceptable overall. Sometimes too long, sometimes amazing so overall it balances out.
I am pretty sure I understood the responses as they are written either in plain simple english, or are painfully and obviously incorrect regarding the request and needed to be re-raised.

Your post history. Since the new library you've made several posts and a thread complaining about Steam Support and the handling of the new UI and those threads.
OP. You not liking the answer does not mean it isn't the ciorrect answer. 'nuff said.

So make a complaint. Everyone on the support team isn't a clone of some individual you have an issue with. And there's no reason to believe that the support staff is so insulated and unified against everyone else that if someone is acting in inappropriately the department will protect them no matter what...

But good luck on your crusade for a sympathetic ear to yell at the meanies in support.

Do get back to us and tell us how it went. Cite the case if you need to. I'm genuinely curious.

Look. I really am genuinely curious.
