How come steam gift cards $10 more

So i was looking on amazon at steam gift cards but they are $10 more than the card is worth. I get shipping and all that but no way $10 more.

My guess would be that you're buying from an Amazon marketplace vendor that wants the extra cut. Afterall, we all need money to pay our bills. But if you can buy from Amazon, that means that you can buy online and in that case, why bother with Amazon at all? You can send someone a Stema gift card directly over Steam.

Amazon sellers are not Steam, so... yeah, you'd be giving them more money and wasting it at that.

It's a scammer. Not technically illegal but it should be. I assume it fools young children. I saw it before on other games premium currency.

Essentially they are selling a 10 dollar bill for 15 dollars. The best thing you can do is give a poor review. That's what I did on the other ones. A report could not hurt but like I said, tricking kids in not illegal.

Who cares? Again, Valve doesn't sell cards on Amazon - so it's not their job to check those prices, nor did they even make them.
If you want to buy a $10 card for ten dollars, buy it in a local store or directly here on Steam...

It is the same as any other sale. I can go to a store, purchase a console (xbox) for full price and proceed to go to craigslist to sell it for even more than what i paid. Microsoft wouldn't be able to answer why I myself am charging that much for it.
