I bought Dayz game and want a refund, accidentally left client and Steam counted as me playing for 3 hours.
I just ask for a refund and don't know if they will believe me or not. I played Dayz Experimental for 27 minutes since that one downloaded first and then when the actual game finished, only played it for 15 minutes. Then I had to go out and eat with my family and forgot to close the client, not the game but the client which will start up the game. Steam counted it as playtime so does anyone know if steam will acknowledge my refund?

If you cannot use the automatic refund system (which will indeed decline based on the hours played) head through the system manually until you find the "I STILL HAVE A QUESTION" link, and explain the situation carefully.

Oh good! Some games just aren't for ya, at least it wasn't like several others I've seen recently "i left it on overnight 4 weeks ago why won't they refund it!!"

Yeah it was hella boring and I literally couldn't do much.

Much easier to believe with a multiplayer, be careful with single player games.

Steam is very forgiving about refunding a game lately.
I bought a game 1 month ago. Had zero playtime. Got refunded.

Guessing that is the legendary "one time gesture" refund. Got game refunded years before refunds was introduced with that "one time gesture".
