So i would factor that in. Apart from that both are "good" games in their respective genre.
But i heard that Strange Brigade can also be pretty fun in solo mode.
Well i bought it and i did not have that much fun solo. Its gets very hard, very fast and there are a lot of secrets and hidden treasures you need multiple players in a stage to unlock ( stepping on certain stones at the same time or hitting buttons and so on).
While it was fun for a few hours its clearly meant to be played with other people, preferably a group of friends. That is where the game shines in my opinion.
I would not recommend it for pure solo play.
I am 99,9% a solo player and i did not enjoy Strange Brigade that much alone.
So Sunset Overdrive is probably the better choice ?
I do love single player games a lot. I just noticed that Strange Brigade also has solo mode, but from you're saying looks like it's kind of frustrating. The main reason i was interested in Strange Brigade is because i really enjoy blasting zombies.
The only thing i heard bad about Sunset Overdrive is that the mouse controls are pretty bad and i normally play games with mouse + keyboard not controller.
Cant say much about that, i play all 3rd person games with gamepad.
For me, i can't play shooters with a controller, wether it's first person or third person. I know Sunset Overdrive is third person action but it has some shooting mechanics. From what videos i saw it reminded me a lot of the Saints Row series.
When i was looking at Strange Brigade's gameplay it just seemed really well done. I may be wrong and i probably just like zombie games a lot so i might be overthinking this.
In the end it all comes down to choosing one but it's really kind of a tough decision.
If you want Multiplayer = Strange Brigade
I know, but for some reason i keep watching and also enjoying a lot of gameplay from Strange Brigade. I watched gameplay of both games but i'm just having a hard time deciding which to buy i guess.
The issue with multiplayer for SB is that it appears to be dead. During the two or three weeks I was playing SB, I saw only one public match come up. I ended up partnering with someone through the forums just to unlock the three multiplayer achievements and then uninstalled it. Unless you've got friends who own the game and want to play multiplayer, I'd consider it a single player game at this point.
