Developers may have an issue with negative reviews, though more often than not it's users who have issues with negative reviews for their favorite games.
Besides, developers have no say about reviews on Steam.
I'm not saying you should write like a 5 year old, I'm only saying that you can write shorter reviews without losing the detail and essence that you wish to display. You're reviews are by no means bad. I didn't even notice spelling or typing errors. I'm not native English, I'm sometimes unsure about my own writing skills.
BUT if you look at the post from cinedine, you'll see that the character limit is a lot higher, but that there is an issue (bug?). Post part of the review and then update your review, that should get you further.
8000 characters surely has to be enough, right? ;)
