How do I permanently remove all traces of a game?
I want CS:GO gone from this list.

https://steamcommunity.com/id/darius01/games

I removed it permanently from my account (I'd need to repurchase it to play again) but it's still there in that list. Anyone know solution? I want all traces of it gone.

There isnt

If there was, then you'd be unable to track playtime for future refunds (as playtime is cumulative for the refunds) and you'd lose achievements for free weekends. They're on separate databases and can't be removed

You can hide your playtime via privacy options. But that also hides all your other games info.

A powerful magnet or a hammer to your hard drive would do the trick.

It'll still be on his profile, so that wouldn't work. ;)

So keep the playtime but give me an option to hide it (particular game, not all of them)? I'm sure I'm not the first to ask for this. Why do we not have this option...

I never thought there we'll come a day when I say this but... I'm probably going to slowly transition to GOG. Already have a dozen games there, all games are DRM free, the client is improving exponentially (Steam - stagnating for a decade) and I'm sure it'll only get better as community voice matters there...

I wonder if Valve even does anything anymore

Sitting on their asses, taxing game developers 30%, not creating any games themselves, not updating their client, no nothing.

Even support is mainly automated

They do. This is not an issue that is on the table.

They are making some VR games, Artifact and GabeN's son is even making a game.

Support is less automated than you think.

Because its not really that big of a priority and is mostly redundant and unnecessary.

You're going to transition to GOG because you can't remove achievements? Really? You do realize GOG doesnt let you do that either?

And have you used the GOG client? The client is 'improving' in what way? its literally how the Steam client is from like 5 years ago. Also note that it took gog nearly 5 years to implement 2FA despite 'the community voicing' concerns about security on their accounts for years. It also took GOG 3 years just to get a 'really bad steam clone client' up.

Do not confuse "not doing what I want" with "not doing anything"

Lets ignore things like

Steam Controller
Steam Link
Steam Controller API
Vulcan
SteamVR

But yeah they are totally 'not doing anything'

And what has Steam done in past 5 years? Nothing, really

What has GOG done with Galaxy in 3 years. Basically nothing other than "make a really bad client that does basically nothing special"

Took Steam 10 years to implement a feature for people to hide their recent activity without going full private mode with their profile

You're still here today and you'll still be here tomorrow.

Since it appears we have difficulty with reading comprehension

"not doing what I want" does not mean "not doing anything"

You cant delete achievements on GOG either so are you going to whine on their forums and leave them for itch.io too? Because obviously gog is also "not doing anything?" by your metric
