looking for games that can be played keyboard only.

Hi everyone, I'm looking for games that are fun to play with just the keyboard "no mouse or controller required"

currently tekken 7 is the only game I have that has great keyboard only functionality, I suspect because its a fighting game. Its a lot of fun though and so easy and intuitive without a controller.

What are some other games that don't need a mouse or controller?

You can also play Mortal Kombat with keyboard only.
Any racing game, like GRID or Dirt.

can be played with keyboard-only, although the speaker only talks about mouse buttons. However, as I just tried it to verify my claim, I noticed that you can't START the game without a few mouseclicks. You can select levels and play them with just keyboard, though.

If you do decide to get it, get The Binding of Issac: Rebirth instead.
It costs more, but is heavily optimized and has loads more content.

There's lots of games that can be played using keyboard only.

Many "shoot em ups" (or shmups, as I prefer to call them) are keyboard only. I think there are some western shmups that use mouse for movement, but eastern-style shmups can pretty much all be played using digital directional controls (i.e. no analog stick required) and one or more face buttons.

Examples:
* RefleX: arrow keys to move, Z to shoot, X to shield.
* eXceed 3rd: arrow keys to move, Z to shoot basic shot, X to bomb (clear screen, limited ammo), C to use special attack charged by grazing bullets, V to focus-fire and move more slowly.

(If you specifically want WASD controls, you should ask around in the forum before purchasing -- some let you rebind to that, while some don't. Arrow keys + ZXCV has been a standard control scheme for such games for years.)

For a beat-em-up arena fighter, there's Fairy Bloom Freesia.

Action RPGs like the Ys games also work perfectly fine with keyboard. For something free and in this genre, try Eternal Senia.

Many 2D platformers can be played using keyboard only. Generally, the ones with a separately-controlled targeting reticule will require mouse, but many don't do this. For example, Freedom Planet and Gunstar Heroes control just fine using keyboard.

Im trying to make Diablo 2 working on Android with controler.. because of limits, i cant use controllers sticsk as mouse directly on non rooted device..
Question is there some windows (Exagear emulator is based Wine application) which would enable to map mouse of keyboard to get around this limit?

Most old DOS games. They were often made before WASD was the standard though, so get used to using the arrow keys, or very often the numpad. In fact, DOS games are why I still insist on having a full-sized keyboard with a numpad.

The majority of Traveller's Tales LEGO games is that way. The only exceptions I can think of, are LEGO Worlds and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
