Online roleplay?

Hi, I'm looking for games/mods that you can role play with people.

I'm not talking about your typical mmorpg, but a game where you actually take on a role and do stuff with other people.

So far I've played on some Arma 3 rp servers. Played a taxi driver, medic, priest etc.

Can people suggest games that are good for this type of roleplaying? Don't have to be realistic either.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but what I've seen of Garry's mod rp on youtube it just seems like pvp. All videos I've found so far are about criminals and police. I would prefer a rp with less violence/death.

If you can deal with down online servers (so you have to use VPN or a real LAN), Vampire Redemption. I have spent countless nights roleplaying in this game. Its whole MP mode is an excellent adoption of the old PnP tropes.

It's free, or it should be? why not play while it can be played at all?
it's a good RP game of that kind, if it works you should act fast or you might miss out on the chance game for all time.

If your 18+ there is a pretty big RP community on http://secondlife.com/ that go from anything from mid evil, to Tron, Superheros, Casual, city and pretty much anything else

I believe I tried it once, but it was really weird and seemed that everything costs money?

Some of the really nice stuff do
But not every thing, and if you work a little you can get a nice looking avatar and tools and stuff without paying a dime
I used to be a freebier (free user only) but give up after a while as was unable to hold back :P
But i can tell you its possible got some friends that are complete freebies

Any way if you like i can try to help you around there, the first 30 days you are in there are places you can go to get all type of free stuff, so first 30 days you can really get a nice amount of freebies

And if you need il gladly help you with it you can contact me in world

Thanks, but I'll pass on this one. Seems too much of a hassle and I'm really against the "pay to win" mentality.

If your creative you can make your own stuff, as said its not really a pay to win, there is no much to win
And its a community run market, all items pretty much are made by users like you and me, if you good you can even sell stuff :P

Completely fair, any way if you ever do want to try, feel free to contact me, and il try to see how i can help, for the most part in RP at least most care about how well you can RP more then how good you look :P
