ASCII art in steam profile description

Is there a way to change the font of your steam profile description? Because the default font is proportionally spaced, so for example an "i" takes up less space than an "m", I need a font with a fixed space alotted for each letter/symbol so that I can paste my ASCII art into my profile description without it being skewed due to letters all taking up different amounts of space.

This is supposed to be the apurture science logo, but as you can see its all messed up because of the font. I need a font like Courier New so that all the letters are equally spaced. Also it doesn't save spaces infront of letters/symbols on a new line, so the letters/symbols all start at the first space and all the spaces before it is deleted. I can make cheap fixes to this like putting periods before like this:

the formatting code does this, but it doesn't work in profile descriptions, and there is a box around it
