BEWARE NEW SCAMMING METHODS
Hi everyone , so recently , i've been seeing some random comments on some people profiles who has expensive items

The comments look similar to : Hi i have an Ak47 Vulcan ST FN which cost 300$ and i need your 6$ glock , send me offer on (SCAM TRADE URL Which look same as real one) and don't add me pls

so far everything doesn't look like a scam ♥♥♥♥ , cuz everything is going through steam and a normal trade

but when you open the ''Scam trade url'' it'll take you to a page look exact same as steam

and you'll see his inventory so normal , so you pick whatever you need and do a normal trade

its actually a phishing page which YOU put your items and take nothing from them

and when you accept the offer you won't take anything and he'll have your items

Thanks , sorry for my english

THis method does not seem possible in the manner you described OP. Please be honest. ANy steam trade requires a confirmation of such via eithe rthe mobile app (for instant trade) or email which puts the trade on hold. Both show confirrmation.

let me explaine more , its a phishing page , which look like steam , and the scammer inventory will look expensive with lot of skins but actually he has nothing , so when u put ur items in ur section and take something from him .

you actually took nothing , its just fake trade but your's is real so when you don't realize u are going to get scammed u just accept the offer with your app instantlly , i mean you already saw the offer you'll just think its a bug or anything . then ur phukt

And how does this method slip past the confirmation I wonder. Because with any trade you have tro confirm it via mobile or via email (that one comes witha 15 day wait period).

scamming was always because of not paying attention , so if you don't while confirming through the mobile ur items will be gone

So basically.. you weren't paying attention and clicked without reading.

Always pay attention and read. This is one of the basic trade guidelines. Look carefully.

This is no new scam. It's been around for a while and continues to be successfuul because people like yourself don't pay attention. Just make a note of being more alert and follow the guidelines.

That sounds about right. Ignore rules, you will suffer. That should be the title. But hey...at least it only cost you a worthless blob of pixel art.
