But if you have ethernet then it should be fast enough with no issues.
You can stream between to computers that are running Steam if you want to test?
I only had the possibility to play a retro-game (avgn adventures) and it worked quite well, i am curious how it will run with better graphics.
Only afterwards i tried a download and 3,5mb/s seemed pretty slow to me, on my pc (near the rooter with a short cable i get 20~30 mb/s.
The cable that goes to my raspberry is 25 meters long and we had trouble pulling it into the tube and used a lot of force.
I assume you are thinking of getting a Steam Link? That thing doesn't work like retropi at all.. You still play the games on your PC.
Download what? From where?
You don't have another computer to test this?
I performed a download-speed-test with the Raspberry.
The gaming-pc stands near the router, there i have a speed of 25mb/s.
The Raspberry is downstairs and is connected to the router trough a cable of 25 meters length.
Is there any way to test the connection speed between the pc and the Raspberry?
If you have this set up then what is left here? Can't parsec show you how much bandwidth it uses? That result will be more relevant than any other tests right?
This might be a better question for the parsec forums.
Not sure why you made this thread if it works..
I ask because i had no possibility yet to try a game with "good" graphics and i wondered if this kinda slow connection will be sufficent
You still say your connection is slow but you are basing this on downloading stuff from the pi.
Internet connection isn't a factor, that program you use should have a thing that says what bandwidth it is using and if it doesn't then use the task manager to see what speed you send it in.
Sorry, i am still a noob when it comes to networks ecc.
