Bug: Can't change my privacy settings
When I try to set it to "Public" instead of "Friends-only" for my inventory and games it doesn't save when I exit that page. It's stuck on the settings I have in my privacy settings and I am unable to change them.

Use a different web browser.

If you're on the Steam Client - try clearing its web browser cache and attempt it again.

Steam > Settings > Web Browser > Delete Web Browser Cache.

If that doesn't suffice, there's no workaround that i'm aware of.

This issue has been reported within the Steam Client and there has been no success with those that experience it.

I already tried the web browser suggestion and clearing cache some week ago when I contacted Steam support, they gave up trying to help me with the issue. I also tried reinstalling Steam from scratch by deleting everything. It's a dead end, I would really like to display my played time and inventory for everyone to see for various reasons.

So, all web browsers have failed?

Did you try Chromium?

This is actually a design failure on Valve's part. I had this issue until I realized that the "My Profile: " status was blank instead of showing "My Profile: Public". To fix it, click the arrow next to "My Profile: " and choose a state from the dropdown, then it will save correctly and you will be able to edit the individual privacy elements.
