Where is Half-Life 3?
I've almost given up on Steam to be honest. Too many begging DOTA addicts, etc.
Oh, and most importantly: NO HALF-LIFE 3!!!
HL3 will never happen. Gabe and co are smart enough to know that it would be a disaster. The fandom is waay too over-hyped for it, to the point where even if the game spontaneously cured cancer and provided free sustainable renewable energy, it would still fail to please them.
The fans are what killed that game. Until they stop meming about Hl3 for a couple years, its not going tro happen.
If you've ever watched 'Thee Italian Job' you'll understand.
Stop thinking devs care about players, they just care about money.
MOstly they've been making a good vR push, and to be fair they have done well in that regards. THey're setting up open apis for the current and next generation giving counterbalance to the push of companioes like MS that want to control everything and have everyone locked into their platform.
you live in a beautiful world... i wish to have your vision
I suspect that whatever they're trying to do they're trying to make it the best, partially because of the reputation they have. Beyond CS:GO, their only recent blunder was letting people charge for the Half-Life IP. Black Mesa is an attempt at carving a diamond but the other two were pretty trash.
"I don't think there's much of a point to speculating about it."
