Is it possible to use joy-cons in lieu of switch pro controllers on steam?

Assuming I had a charging grip, would I be able to plug that in and use my joy-cons as a controller?

Do you mean that you want to use both joy cons in the charging grip? because that will probably only work if you use third party programms because the grip doesnt combine this two cons its only charging them. On the switch they get combined per software and not trough the grip.

you can use the joy cons on pc as its blue tooth any blue tooth works
