2K does not seem to care it seems.
Well, i like both of them. Civ VI is fun but it also has some serious flaws.
The AI is still pretty terrible, even 2 years after release, countless patches and 2 huge addons.
Most criticism of Civ VI seem to center on the bad and nonsensical AI and that is something Civ V definitely does a LOT better.
VI is still fun though, lots of interesting new mechanics.
That tells me, if you've already got V, and you're short on funds, maybe you should just stick to V for the time being. Even if you can't ever get a "loyalty discount", rest assured VI will eventually go on sale again and you can save money that way. Maybe in the mean-time, they'll have fixed most of the issues, and make it worth the wait.
