Steam Error in following dll: chrome_elf.dll
I'm getting this error when I open Steam and the browser does not load
  nothing except the Library.
<EventType> APPCRASH </ EventType>
<Parameter0> steamwebhelper.exe </ Parameter0>
<Parameter3> chrome_elf.dll </ Parameter3>

AppPath = C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ bin \ cef \ cef.win7x64 \ steamwebhelper.exe.

I have already restored files, I deleted the damn dll folder and Steam reinstalled and nothing, I already deleted steam and erased records in REGEDIT and reinstalled and the problem persists with the same dll - chrome_elf.dll. I have already passed Avast, Malwarebytes, ADWCleaner and ESET Online Scanner and no viruses were found. I already disabled firewal and Avast and nothing.

dang seems you allowed the installation of apps from unkown sources and now almost anything installed is corrupted sadly, if you deleted dlls, turned off your firewall and real time protection, i would have just re installed windows man. is a reinstall not available for you? by the way, i would suggest windows 10 upgrade for free the security is a lot better 7 will no longer have security after this year and be compromised by almost any attacker without knowing. windows 7 is your problem go 10

Everything works perfectly! Other applications that also have the same dll (chrome_elf.dll) work without problem. The only program to give error is Steam. All of my Steam games are original, purchased on Steam.

possibly your steam is corrupted or your windows in general it can happen sometimes. try windows update and then a full restart of the system. when an application doesnt want to work right it then is corrupted have been moved or files are infected with malware. the best help i can advise is a windows re install.
