Attention STEAM - Instant Gaming Scam
I did research on Instant Gaming before I purchased anything and everything I found said that they were a legit and valid company. I purchased Anomoly 2 for my wife so we could play together, but when my wife went to activate it, it said that another account had already used that key. I contacted IG and they told me that I needed to contact STEAM to find out when the key was activated before they could do anything. Personally, I find this to be a them problem not mine. As far as I'm concerned this means that they aren't legit and are selling invalid keys. STEAM please inform all users that Instant Gaming isn't a valid site to get keys from. Thank-you

Tell the seller, they can do that after they gave your money back.
Why should you do it?
Chargeback. Steam can't do anything. Maybe don't buy your games from 3rd party resellers.
It is your responsability as a customer to make sure that the place where you're buying is "legit". If you buy a Samsung phone from a guy in the street and it doesn't work, would you contact Samsung telling them that they should inform you that guy isn't a valid seller?

If you want an advice, stick to the sellers listed here, they're all authorized ones:

Typical. They asked you for information they KNOW steam with NEVER divulge. ANy genuine retailer has tools and means to check for themselves when a key was activated.

Steam can't keep track of every flyby night scam site. It's really up to ye. Simple trick. if the game seems very cheap, there's probably a reason for it. CHances are the keys were not legally obtained.
Also, the great thing about buying stuff is that you don't need to be "fair" to every shop in existence. This allows me to just go with "if isthereanydeal doesn't know you, then I don't know you either".

Am I ignoring legitimate stores because of that? Probably. Do I need to feel bad about that? Nope.
Thank-you everyone for your responses. After I posted this I thought to go through PayPal to resolve this problem. In just about 12 hrs PayPal agreed that they were not addressing my issue and refunded my money. So, if anyone else ever has a problem like this with this company or any other company go to PayPal and have them resolve the problem.

I thought I had done a thorough investigation, but apparently not. Thank-you for the link, very much appreciated. :)
