its saturating the entire game search page, and this ♥♥♥♥ is starting to get seriously friggen ridiculous. Aside from the obvious moral concerns, doesn't this ♥♥♥♥ hurt steam itself? Do you guys really wanna be known as that place that weebs go to waste money to jack off too? There didn't seem to be any place to report a complaint like this so im doing it here. But I swear I spend 90% of my time at least just going through and ignoring games and scrolling past all the stupid DLC and hentai bullcrap.

And for the idiots dumb enough to buy those games, please stop it. Go watch actual porn ffs, its better quality and its free.

If you exclude AAA games, you're looking at less than 3% games that include any sexual content.
This really shouldn't make a difference in your shopping experience unless you browse and shop lewd games yourself. From now on, remove lewd games from your account and "ignore" those games, the algorithm will eventually change to your new preferences and you'll see those less.

Thanks for the assumption and being dismissive of my point, but I don't have any "lewd games" unless you count Neir as one.

Also, again, this is something that clearly lots of people are complaining about not just me. So many other people are also being flooded with these types of low quality games and its not just up to the algorythms and how my choices influence it.

I've seen many vac ban users complain of how the vac system should only ban for x number of hours. I generally only play games made by small teams or individuals who set out to make a fun game, not simply pander to the market. Those games are the best, imo.

If you're talking about a specials search, then that was because there was a Golden Week sale, which had a bunch of games with anime art (and nowhere near all of them are porn games anyway). (Golden Week is a series of Japanese holidays.)

Short answer is that you don't, because someone who's underage can still figure out how to lie, and you have even fewer tools over the internet than in meatspace to verify their age independently of what they say.

Sure, Valve could conduct an extensive background check on every applicant, interview them, looking for discrepancies in their life stories, and so on.

Unless you figure out a way to have artificial intelligence do this for you, don't expect Steam to start doing it. It's both expensive and time-consuming, and there's little to gain from it.
