Potential malware in Steam Workshop (Likely related to Crush Crush / Blush Blush or Duck Game)
So about half an hour ago, I recieved a notification from my Windows antivirus software of a potential, severe threat. It was located in the Steam Workshop downloads folder (I haven't even touched the Workshop in months, last time being for Duck Game) with the name "StupidMod." The executable was named "Debug.exe" with an animal girl for the icon. The description said it was a Stealer, so naturally I made sure that my antivirus dealt with the issue then trashed the potential virus. Anyone else having this problem? I can't exactly send a screenshot, cause I deleted the StupidMod folder before I thought about it.

EDIT: Forgot some details. The antivirus listed it as "Trojan: ----- Fuerboos," and I got the notification sometime after I booted Steam for the first time (Considering I have my laptop configured to not start Steam upon reboot.)

That's the problem. I don't know which game the item is from. It could be what I guessed, or it might not. But I'll search regardless.

Seeing as only 1 of the 3 games you mentioned even have a Steam workshop, searching was pretty easy...

Well that's true, yeah, but I was going to check the other games I own for anything along those lines, just in case.

First time I hear of a workshop item having an EXE file. I thought those kind of files were excluded from the workshop.

They are which makes this story fishy

Y'know what, I haven't heard of that being a thing. But I promise you I didn't move it there or anything. I rebooted Steam, and immediately got a notification from my antivirus of it in the Workshop download folder. I really should've sent an image or something of it, but trust me on this one.

And to kinda explain why I trashed the entire folder, I was unsure if my antivirus software had fully dealt with it, so I had to make extra sure it was safe.

Just because an antivirus calls something a virus, doesnt mean it actually is.
