I traded with a friend but I only sent one trade offer and someone else somehow managed to get one without my notice.
This is on July 31st around 11:38am, I was sending an item back to a friend and I made sure it was them because I was on my computer clicking on their name, checking their aliases and how it was linked from their Discord. I click the trade offer button and of course I did what I wanted to do by sending a gift. Now, after I sent it and confirmed it, there was only ONE confirmation I had to do. Not two, so what I’m confused with is why did someone else get the notification and basically receive my item that wasn’t for them?

Your account is compromised. Google the words ‘Steam apikey scam’ if you want the details but here’s the copypasta of the steps that you need to take to secure your account.

Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
Change passwords from a clean computer
Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey
Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App.

Please review how you are logging into Steam, you somehow gave them your mobile code. This could have been due to the computer being compromised and redirecting to a fake login, or you using a 3rd party site to login to Steam.

Once you are sure you have regained control, you can start trading again. Please triple check any trades you make to be sure they are going to the correct account
