Rainbow Six Siege from Uplay to Steam.
I downloaded and played Rainbow Six Siege on Uplay during the free weekend. Is there any way i can transfer the files into steam, I am planning on buying the deluxe edition on steam. If i transfer the files, will i still get the deluxe edition operators as well?

If you bought on UPlay you can't just have it on Steam. You'd buy a new copy here if you did so.

Yeah im planning on buying the deluxe edition on steam. Will i be able to transfer and the files AND get the year 1 operators from the deluxe edition if i transfer the files instead of freshly downloading the game on steam?
Ask in the R6S forum if that is possible.

I guess you do not get it... Let me make it more clear:

If you have a copy in UPlay and not Steam, you can't simply magically gain a copy by "trasnferring the files," there's nothing like that. By buying Rainbow Six already having it on UPlay, if you connect with the same UPlay account it will either reject it and say that you already have the game, or sum up with what you have bought.

I will have a copy on Steam because I will be buying it. But since i already have a the game files installed from the free weekend, I don't want to download the whole game again, and I am wondering if i can just transfer the files so I do not have to redownload the whole game. And if i do transfer it, will I get the year 1 operators I am supposed to get from the deluxe edition of the game?
Now your question is more clear. Yes it is possible. Move the files to Program Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common the Rainbow Six folder. I am unsure how it is called but if you want I can tell exactly in some minutes. Currently not any close to my computer.
I have copied the rainbow six siege folder from uplay and pasted it into the rainbow six folder in
Files(x86)\Steam\steamapps\Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege but the library still says 'install' and there is no more shortcut for me to open rainbow six siege with.
Yes, how would Steam know that there is something in that folder? When you install Steam will detect that there are files already there and install whatever may be left or fix whatever may be broken.
Oh okay, I'll try that now. Sorry, that was stupid of me.
I have started installing it and it has finished allocating disk space but Steam is still installing all 60 gigabytes of the game and says it is estimating 7 hours.
Then the files are different from UPlay to Steam.
I just found out the mistake I made, thank you very much for the help, the game is installing the rest of the files now.
No worries. o/
No

No, he's question was blatantly obvious from the start, yet you and many others couldn't figure it out until he had to fully write it out word for word .
