If so then Win2 GPD is the way to go.
If playing certain games that's also on handheld console, then get a handheld console, make it easy on you, and they can be much cheaper.
Pretty much exactly what I was looking for! A bit expensive, but it performs better than I expected.
Windows tablets are okay, but I really need something handheld that doesn't need to be propped up.
There are also lots of Andoid devices with physical buttons well suited for emulation.
