Have you tried using a screwdriver?

The screw doesn't come out. It's not stuck (like fully screwed) but it's not coming out either.

Assuming it's stripped, try and find a screw extractor small enough. You can also try using a Dremel or similar grinding/cuttoff tool on the backside of the tray and then just pull the screw out.

If it's just a smooth standoff you can't get a grip on, get a bigger pair of pliers and/or someone with more grip strength.

If it's a hex head/shape, get a socket or nut driver of appropriate size.

Well, I managed to pull it off:

I asked for my brother's help to try to unscrew the screw from the standoff as I held it with a plier tightly until the standoff came out.

Thanks for the suggestions, though!
