Are embedded video reviews allowed under Steam's policy and guidelines?

I encountered this embedded video review on Armello recently: http://steamcommunity.com/id/Efitall/recommended/290340?tscn=1513873498

I am under the impression that posting videos such as this are promotional or advertisement in nature, therefore forbidden. I have seen many guides and discussions posting these "embedded videos" that many pan as violating Steam's policy.

I have nothing against the reviewer. I just want clarification if these reviews are allowed or not.

Personally, I prefer and enjoy reading reviews. If these "embedded videos" are indeed allowed, I'd rather have them in a separate category such as "video reviews" or the ability to filter them out. I honestly do not want to see a top rated video review, or a long list of reviews that's mostly videos.

How and why are video reviews not advertisements?

What is a review? A statement made by a user on the game. The video backs up that review with showing a user what the game is like in the eyes of the reviewer.

I'm not contending that it is not a review. My contention is that it's advertisement in nature. The reviewer posts a video with a link that may direct to a YouTube channel or whatnot, or he can say in the review something along the lines of: "Don't forget to like,share and subscribe", the former of which is implied advertisement and the latter actual. Steam disallows advertisements in posts, reviews, etc.

Either way, the video review advertises a channel despite the fact it's an actual review.

You do not get any benefit from being friends with a Moderator.

You are free to link a video in your Steam Review. As I don't recall any rules about it not being allowed to post video links.

All we really ask is that it's a review one way or the other. If you want to link meme videos in your review but has still reviewed the game with text we're not gonna stop you.
