How to see all the games on sale
Before the new steam store you could always browse all the games currently on sale. But since the new store you can't.

It shows you games on sale based on your personalized recommendations and there is no button to look at all the games on sale.

If you browse the store via steam client it only shows you games based on your personalized recommendations and if steam runs out of personalized recommendations the following line appears:

We're out of personalized recommendations for you right now.

If you browse steam via web browser it only shows the highlighted deals.

I find this very stupid because I wanna see all the titles currently on sale but there seems no way to do it.

So why would valve would prevent me from going through all the games currently on sale?

on the left side of the featured store page it says "browse categories", one of which is specials. Clicking that should show all games which are on sale.

At the top of Steam click on Store. In the page click on Games. Scroll down a little bit and on the right side there is a button that says "See All Specials".

Ah didn't see that but it only leads to 616 pages of very tiny icons which is horrible to go through.

Not in my steam client. Under games there is only a pull down menu which offers categories like simulation, rpgs and so on but no specials. There is only 1 column there so there is no right side in this menu, though.

hope this will help

Not helpful because you only see the game names there and the price but no other information. But I am looking for an overview without having to open a store page every time because I just want to see if there is something I am interested in without having to go through 6000 store pages. And the steam tags are so bad they don't help at all.

You don't choose anything from the pull down menu, you just click on the word games without choosing any item in the pull down menu. It takes you to a page that lists games. Scroll down about one page and there are specials on the right side and a button that says "See All Specials".

A simple way to see Free Steam Special Offers Games is to use One Game Launcher.
It has a special page that shows free games including steam special offers, Epic free games and more.

Just check the "special offers" box.
Meanwhile in 2023, I will use SteamDB, thank you very much.
