Looking for some good 1v1 or two player co-op games

I'm in the process of building my lady friend a gaming pc. I'm looking for some good co-op games or 1v1 games for us to play. I already got her Terraria and Don't Starve togeather and I'm going to get who's your daddy soon. We uses to play Rainbow six vegas 2 a lot if that helps with suggestions

Borderlands 2 has excellent co-op, plus it's a robust stand alone game even in single player.

The thing is, I have been gaming pretty much non stop since I was 2 (I'm 22 now) so im kind of having a hard time thinking of a game I haven't played yet that could give us a lot of play time.
