Is it just me or is it hard to find a mature co-op partner?

Okay maybe it's just me. Maybe I creep people out. Weird, 'cause I'm female.

Anyways,
I asked many times, all I get are thirsty guys. I'm looking for "mature" people. Which groups would you advise me, places I could look for?

I find very hard to find good co-op partners (btw I'm +30) if you don't already know them IRL :(

Most people i met and care for were the ones i got to know via groups.
I've seen groups which are created for mature people, for specific ages, as already mentioned females (though i could imagine that there are also a lot of fakes) and others.

Finding the ones that are relevant might be a bit tough ^^

Hope you'll succeed in finding more people to play.
Generelly i would be open for that as well, though time is scarce for me ^^

As for places to look for, there's a very popular one called GamerPals over at Reddit.

Since you're just looking for mature people, I'd advise you to omit your gender, for starters.

It's my bulletproof way of preventing users from adding me for the wrong reason(s).

Yeah it's hard to find a decent coop partner as a guy as well.

Either you end up with people that are 21+ but behave like they are 9 or they just try to F you up cause "trolling is fun"

I'm 36 and am so annoyed at the "gaming community" =p

Works with people around our ages, or even older, too. I find this quite scary -_-

Yeah I don't see the point, sure I will joke around with my friends but I wouldn't destroy their gaming experience just for laugh and I hate when people do it to me.

It would be even worse for a girl/woman online I'm sure with all the sexual comments and such that are common nowadays =(

EDIT: Sidenote, how is Torchlight 2 now? Haven't played it since it came out and stopped cause it sucked playing alone =p

Well, I like that game a lot. I first played it in co-op, finished it, then re-started in solo. But now I want to play it in co-op again. More fun!

I only got to the Desert area I think......been so long =p

And yeah I understand that, I know how most guys are online =/

Sorry to read that you have experienced harassment, Steam is a gaming platform first and foremost. It depends on the playerbase and community of the game itself to a degree, it can be difficult finding the right co-op partner.

I empathize Kitty ~ I'm a " mature " guy ( at least my grandaughter says so ) and I find myself avoiding MP and a majority of co-op play unless it's a friend or someone I'm very familiar with from a games forum. It can be quite frustrating. Best of luck in your search 👍

Just play online. Every now and then, you'll meet a good player. Add him (or her), viola. Also, play on higher difficulties. In KF2 for example (or L4D2 or pretty much any other coop game), the lower difficulties are littered with dorks resulting in higher difficulties being actually easier to play as your team is way more capable.
