Download my music?
New to steam music. bought a soundtrack with a game that I'd like to download to listen to offline. I'm growing suspicious that this isn't possible. Any way of doing this?

Steam seems to handle game soundtracks as DLC (unless they've changed it since I checked), so it downloads the music files into the game files folder. It's sorta stupid and messy, yeah.

The music itself is in mp3 or ogg format generally and so you can just take them out and put them wherever you want, meaning that it's effectively DRM-free.

Or sometimes it's just a zip file, even.

Try looking through your game files from the directory path in 'Steam'.
An example:
C:/Program Files/Steam/steamapps/Grey Goo/ soundtrack
You could use media players of your own preference. Say, Windows Multimedia Player or VLC.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
