Why are there so many anime porn games on Steam now?

Not that I'm complaining but it seemed like just a few years ago there were none, now it seems like 10-15% of all new Steam releases are anime games with porn patches

Obviously there are users buying these games, making it a profitable market for developers to tap into.

sum up to this normal skyrim v even with mods with hd and adult mods and interactive mods this what most people not like and also do want it up to the person realy mostly their is hd body mods in steam with clothing no option room for adult so they put just skimpy mod add to it to keep people from going gross sometimes but it mostly for the na sayers it a new era not cowboy days like most would like to keep it or the 30 and 40 era that is over think this geration is bad wait untill 23453 year then see what would be going on if that ever get here

pretty sure none of the anime games on Steam are "porn" games.. smut sure, but not porn..


sure people could mod/patch in such content, but considering the amount of 18+ mods for just about any game thats really not any different than any other genre

in all honesty, there probably aren't very many games where someone hasn't made such a patch..

heck, OP is playing a Bethesda game which are pretty notorious for that kind of thing

They also probably require less sales on average to mak their money back. They are a niche market but a niche market with reasonable overheads given the available tools and skills.

Other than that, understand that different cultures have different ideas about what constitutes porn (or hentai, in this context) and what doesn't. Anime in particular has frequently used exaggerated depictions of both guys and girls, also owing to the fact that you can draw anything, and they didn't have to find suitable actors.
I don't usually pay attention to rating labels so I can't be sure, but I'm assuming that an Anime with a generally lighthearted theme isn't going for an "M" or "R" rating just to put some fanservice in, while shows that I would assume might have higher ratings anyway still don't go any further.

Nah you have the developers of the games literally posting 18+ patches to add back content on the Steam forum for the game and Steam doesn't really care. A lot different from fan made nude patches

So what he said still stands patches even developer made ones that aren't part of the steam release are not the steam game. So the games are still not porn games in regards to steam.
