Email confirmation of Market listings annoying AF
I don't want to use a mobile authenticator. Get that out of the way first. I just want to have steam on my PC and fully functional withing the steam app. Is that too much to ask? I don't care that there is a 15 day hold on listings, that's acceptable. What's unacceptable is that I have to go to my email to confirm each and every market listing individually. So listing 50 items is 50 emails which is so annoying that after listing one I go and delete the email without even confirming and promtly don't list another.

Anyone can make claims of security but this is a horrendously unelegant solution and a pain in the♥♥♥♥♥for those who don't want to jump through hoops to post a bunch of $0.03 items.

Worth noting that the reason I don't want to have an app on my phone is because the last time I installed it, it never worked. I don't know if it's my phones problem or the apps problem but it didnt matter, it was nonfunctioning.

Well, that's unfortunate as the app is the exact thing you need. Better figure out why it's not working on your phone when it's working fine for millions of other users.

I put it on my old phone and Steam never recognized that I did, even while I was using the app.

But it's so silly of Valve to say "You must have a smartphone to use a service comfortably on a PC". Thanks guys for your advice on getting the phone to work, but i still think Valve needs to come up with an alternative. For example, 1 email that says "Press confirm to authorize all sale listings for 15 minutes"

It pretty much killed my trading not everyone on planet earth owns a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ cell phone to do this stupid garbage so i don't trade anymore

Pretty sure if you can afford a computer, and games on it, a cellphone isn't that far of a stretch.

You'll still have to confirm each item with the mobile app. Granted when working in large numbers it's not nearly as big of a hassle as email, but it can still take a while if you're selling hundreds of cards at a time or what have you.

Then perhaps you should READ THE REST OF THE THREAD before proclaiming how annoying anything is, and take the steps recommended to fix your problem -because the problem is indeed on your end (whether it's a computer/phone issue, or just an attitude in need of adjustment after being educated on how this system works).
