Steam backgrounds resolution

A lot of times I use different computers to login to steam. Many times peoples' profile background is condensed and not visible on the sides of the profile screen. Instead it's buried under the headers and middle of screen. Idk if there's any solution?

Nope. They are static sizes. 1920x1080 or 1920x1200. Your current background is 1920x1200.

That's my resolution as well, on my main computer. And right now I'm barely seeing my background because it's like 800x600 roughly.

It zooms on your profile to get rid of the grey bars on the side.

Ok so basically a lot of these backgrounds are not truly 1920x1080. That sucks lol.

Complain to the developers of the games that have backgrounds for you to have.

They are the only ones that can make you sizes other than the ones they have already made.

Yea I suppose. I just wanted to clarify cause I missed what you said, "It zooms on your profile to get rid of the grey bars on the side." When I see profiles they are not even zoomed to cover the grey sides. That's where I think I have some malfunction, it should be covered but only some are and most aren't.
