Steam Halloween Code scam

Just now, some of my friends sent me a link of the halloween code thingy. I realized then it was fake, with my pic not on my store icon, and a lot of other stuff. ITS A SCAM/FAKE. What should we do?

The link is automatically removed by steam = it is definitely a scam.

There are basically no legit off-steam sites which give you stuff. ANYTHING FREE IS NOT FREE.

Don't click on random links sent by friends. You'll be rife bait for malware or even ransomware if you aren't careful.

No websites are going to give away $1,000,000,000 worth of Steam gift cards for free. If you want a voucher, you have to pay for it with real money.

Ignore it. It's happened the past few sales even when there wasn't a sale like the fake spring sale

If you find a link to it that is not censored on Steam, please report it so the mods can add it to the filter.

Tell the one who sent it to you that it was not nice of them to do so. Tell the rest of your friends to never go to that site.

How does that scam work? Does it ask for a login?
Clicking the link while logged on isn't dangerous, is it?

It uses the Steam API to login like all other sites. That's not the issue.

It tells you to use the referral link system to spam links to gain points. Then, it asks you for some info through surveys. And it never gives you money.
