Interactive Dating Sim/Visual Novel Games?

This may sound silly, and it probably is, but I was wondering if there are any dating sim/visual novel type games on Steam that you have some input on.

The best examples I have would be the conversation parts of Huniepop, or even Emily is Away a little bit. Basically anything where you have multiple options on what you can say or do.

I know visual novels are supposed to just be words and anime girls, or whatever, and that's half of what I'm after, but I could swear that this is a common thing for these sorts of games. So far all I've found are games where you read and read until you feel sleepy. I'm okay with reading, but I want to have something to do so that I'm doing more than sliding out of my chair clicking and hoping my brother can't hear the voice acting.

Hopefully this doesn't make me sound like some idiot who doesn't know anything about the genre, or is too dumb to appreciate books with cute girls.

...Actually, that'd be fine, since that's pretty much what I am.
