Games You'd Suggest to a FNG?

Getting back into PC gaming, but I'm going to try & shy away from MMOs & such besides maybe ESO. What are some good steam games you would suggest for me or others to try out, that you feel have impacted your gaming life, albeit simple ways to have fun, or storylines that go very deep across multiple games. Let me know what you think down below!

What sort of games do you like? Survival games are good time sinks here on Steam and there are lot to choose from.

Ark: survival Evolved - Dino survival

Subnautica - underwater survival

Far sky - underwater survival

Stranded Deep - islands survival

7 days to die - zombies survival

Rust - post apocalyptic survival

Raft - on itch.io not steam but it's out at sea survival

Real time strategy? Not a huge fan of these and therefore don't know many but here are some.

Age of empires 2 - old but heavy workshop support and new dlc by devs still coming out

Sid meirs civilisation 5 or 6

Depends on what you like honestly. If you like story (and dont mind horror genre), SOMA is pretty solid. So is the Bioshock series (if you dont mind FPS). If you want something more relaxing, Stardew Valley will suck your life away quite nicely. Id also recommend the Fallout series or Elder Scrolls.

It would help here to see examples of games you like, since your profile is quite short at this point, with hours put into Terraria and Skyrim and Fallout. (Fallout 4 seems like the obvious recommendation, but I assume you know that already.)

Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a game you won't find on consoles, that is relatively simple, yet has fans playing for hundreds of hours. There's a multiplayer mod, too. The game also won two Steam awards recently: http://store.steampowered.com/SteamAwards/

These awards (and the nominees) are also a good place for you to start.

I'd also mention The Witcher 3, which is as good if not better than Skyrim.

I appreciate all the suggestions & yes, you guys were right, I should've include suggestions. I've beaten fallout 3, 4, & NV every which way on console. I play terraria quite a bit, but I'm looking for a different sort of game. I love shooters.
