Best way to try out a background before you buy?

on your own profile since that's the only thing that matters, i'm surprised steam haven't implemented this yet. Seeing how expensive some the backgrounds are you really need that option.

Steancardexchange is a fantastic site to use.

You just search the game you were interested in and click on the wallpaper u want to view, you get a perfect example of how it will look on your profile.

The steam showcase requires you to click and enter each game, which is a PITA. With this you find the background you want from many displayed at one time.

u don't have to log in. I've never logged in the site because I only want to look at the backgrounds.

Yeah that's great but i really need to see it on my own profile, not someone else's since that's the only way you know if it will fit or not.

You are only loggin in via the API if I'm not wrong. And no it is a legit website. Have been using it for a few months now and it's all good lol.
