Looking for a new MMORPG with strong life skills selection
I played Mabinogi for years and my server went downhill over time. I can't transfer my characters and things I spent years building up and there's a culture of discrimination keeping new people from joining the server I'm on so there's no new blood. Nexon killed the economy of the game and now I just want to start over elsewhere.

I really like playing support. Potion master, smith, tailor, farmer. It's a way for me to zone out and I can do it while listening to an audiobook or some music. I really like running a shop and engaging with the community that way.

Are there any other MMORPG's with strong life skills roles? I'd appreciate any leads or tips. Thank you in advance.

everything you listed, alchemist, black/armorsmith, tailor, botanist, and a lot more. (although for the part about running a shop, trading is done through market) you can play for free to level 35(across all classes exempting extra jobs from the expansions) to see if it's your type of thing.

Store page doesn't have it as free. And it says it requires a monthly subscription with no level exception mentioned.

Guild Wars 2. It's F2P with some restrictions but not like WoW's starter edition that caps your level at 20 and really only lets you play in the starter area. You can use the market in GW2 too as a free player.

You can see the restrictions here:
https://help.guildwars2.com/hc/en-us/articles/230165307-Account-types-Free-Core-HoT

You can either buy a cheap core key if you want to upgrade your account or just buy the expansion and your account will be fully upgraded. That is if you decide to invest.

As far as crafting and "life skills" go, there are a ton of different player professions you can take part in, although you will probably discover it's often cheaper and more efficient to buy materials than it is to harvest them yourself.

GW2 also has tons of dynamic PVE and PVP content and is constantly expanding. What's really great is the leveling system. It removes most of the dull run here, get this and run back type of quests. It's got an engaging story too. What's really, really great about it is that the content scales. So if you're a higher level than an area, the game scales your level down, so you can still do the quests but you'll get XP and items that are equivalent to your actual level.

There are multiple racial starter areas, so you can do the quests in all of them and you're not penalized for playing lower level areas. So you could run quests with a friend who just started playing and not be penalized and you won't be killing 100 monsters with a single hit either.

Really can't say enough good things about it. I will say though that the legendary weapons are redonk. The gold cost on the market for legendary weapons or the cost to craft them yourself is prohibitively high so if you want one of these best of the best of the best weapons, either pray to the god(s) or break out your wallet. That said, they're not an absolute necessity.
