random crap windows installed on to my pc (YES windows as i didnt have anything else on it and some programs suddnly appered from the windows/xbox app store)
pc not being able to install the update 3/3 and you cant delete the update from command line as ide allready done this after it wouldent work and it was a known issue
The behaviour you describe over multiple posts is not normal Windows behaviour, minus a few Windows 10 automatic downloads of apps like candy crush.
In regards to the original issue of 5GB of modified memory, did you by any chance disable the pagefile to "speed" up your pc.
okay, things are making alot more sense..
first, 600 updates is a lie (or at the very least a great over embelishmenmt), a couple dozen MAYBE.. heck, even a fresh install of Windows 7 coming off a very old installation image only runs just under 300, depending on the optional updates based on hardware I am installing it on..
and Windows updates are there for a reason btw, they are often used to fix certain security flaws or stability issues..
and those programs didn't "auto install", thats why they won't be listed in programs and features.. what you are likely seeing when you press the start menu are ads for popular windows store apps .. if you click them, it should actually redirect you to the windows store page for the app.. granted, never download anything off the windows store as its utter crap (for that matter, don't even bother to register a microsoft account to your user profile, just use a local profile, we technicians will thank you when you bring it in for service :P)...
and elaborate on "not installing update 3/3".. sometimes it can take awhile for an update to install, depending on the update in question (in the case of windows 10, Feature Update 1607 and its following update Cumulative Update 1607 (more commonly known as the aniversary update) can take several hours to properly install, and its recommended to not be otherwise using your computer while its doing it)..
and trying to use command line to remove a windows update is just asking for issues to arise with your OS.. its not the fault of the OS, but you for using it in a manner its not intended to..
and that is quite possibly one of the reasons you were claiming to have malware..
b)the 3/3 was windows vista it was a known issue on google and it was left for a few days and it didnt install (it never did the first one) and i was using the command line to remove those 3 updates becuses you could access the command line and a blue update screen that wasnt working
c)the 600(ish) updates was a new pc and was windows 8 and ti litraly had just off 600
d)i have trusted installer disabled becuse it keeps removing my special drivers i have for a few programs as microsoft keep trying to remove that driver becuse it stops them makeing as much money and keeps stoping me remove the random crap that installs its self on to my computer including some windows programs that just installed them self and slowed my computer down so much it was stupid (it even doubled my boot time)
it also forced me to make a microsoft account and litraly woundent let the pc do anything(at all) untill i did and then microsoft started makeing me accounts and logging me out of mine
also all of my windows installs are legit but i had to disable wndows activation as my pc didnt have a disk drive so i had to move the hard drive to a diffrent pc while i installed it so it says i cant use my key for windows
you are clearly over embelishing.. had to reinstall windows 8 at work just yesterday, using a Windows 8 install image from its initial release.. no where near 600. actually, pretty sure Windows 8 uses the same update protocols as 10, where it won't download an update if a later update provides the same fix (in which case it will only install the latest to provide said fix), as opposed to say XP or 7 where it just downloads any and every update.. so no, Windows 8 would not have had 600 updates
once again, Windows does NOT auto install programs like that, and if it did a class action lawsuit would have been filed by now.. unless someone shares your computer with you is downloading them, you are just viewing ads in your start menu (something they started doing with 8).. prolonged boot times can be caused by many things, most of which are user side (how many programs you have in auto-startup, possible malware, lots of pending decisions, your choice of anti-virus, etc)..
and no, Windows does not "Force" you to make a Microsoft account, well not yet at the very least (they are pushing it harder and harder though).. on initial startup of an installation it will ask you to, but by clicking the option in small text at the bottem you can opt not to and instead just use a local profile (totally the better option let me tell you).. you probably weren't aware there was a "I don't want a microsoft account" option at the bottem of the screen when you were initializing..
as for your "said you can't use the key", since you had the HDD thrown into another machine, that machine has the license for that key.. with both Windows 8 and 10, they switched from the old activation method for keys (because that method was easily exploited and used in shady ways) to intigrated activation.. upon installation, it binds that key to the motherboard in the machne, so your windows key is tied to that other machine..
as for not having a DISC drive (Disc is the word you are looking for btw, Disc with a C is optical media like CD's and DvD's. Disk with a K refers to magnetic Media, such as your HDD or old Floppy Disks, something a computer REQUIRES), that wouldn't matter in the slightest.. these days, because Optical media is a dying format, copies of Windows are often shipped on USB..
if you had purchased a pre-built, some manufacturers still ship recovery install media via discs, but in that case windows would have been preloaded and the key would have already been bound to that PC by the manufacturer
You should have needed 32gb ram 10 years ago.
By what you tell.
When a current operation system can run on a computer with 2gb ram,
how on earth can you think,
it would OCCUPY 9gb, making them unuasable?
Asking yourself this question will solve that ram problem for you.
