WHAT HAPPENS IF WE GET REPORTED?
If somebody press the report button, what happens?
If we got a lot of reports for some thing, can we get banned, and a warning first?
How can you check your reports, if somebody had reported you?

If someone reports you, a moderator or a steam support team member will check the issue. If he thinks that you have actually done some bad things then he might ban you. But if you have done nothing wrong then you will be fine.

It's same as real life police and justice system.

Ok, but why do we not get a warning before ban ?

depends on what you were reported for. not all bans will have warnings before they are placed.

It depends on what you have done.

If you scammed someone through the steam market than you would most probably get a permanent trade ban.

If you wrote something that you are not allowed to say on the forums than you would either get a warning by the admin or a temporary ban from the forums. But if you keep repeating your actions or do something really bad than you might get a permanent ban from the forums.

You got a warning. A Ban would stop you from posting.

Warning: looks like a ban message but it's a warning for posting something that violates rules. These do not ban you.

Ban: usually here they say, "banned from all steam discussions." Other than game forums, these have set dates that can vary from 24 hours to months of if the moderator decides that you should stay out, a permanent ban. These usually are not lifted unless the moderator gives mercy.

Many moderators have assisted in creating a guide and I suggest reading it.

For certain things, I.e. scamming, you don't need a warning as it's very easy to avoid doing it accidently.

Well, what do you think "drop the weapon" is supposed to be? :-)

Even if you drop the weapon, you will still be held guilty and will be send to jail.

That's not a warning, that's a mathod to prevent the blood bath...

That's a warning for "or we will shoot you". It's not a warning to stop robbing the bank, and walk away scot-free.

If you're doing 35mph in a 30mph zone, you might get a warning.
If you're doing 100mph in a 30mph, you get a ticket.
Severity of the offense determines if you get a warning or a ban right away. Read the rules, behave, and you'll be fine.

Okay, thanks you all
Also, I've heard that on Steam game forums, sometimes the moderators will issue a temporary ban as a warning, because they don't have a way to issue a warning by itself. I think the procedure is to issue a ban (which gives them a space to leave a message privately) and then revert the ban immediately.

Nothing happens.
You can even cheat and nothing will happen.
I reported spin botter ( he was spinning whole match and hs everyone and he got banned after more than one month).
If you cheat not too obvious you can enjoy it long time.
